Donate to One of Win’s Charities

In March 2020, Win was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, namely Leiomyosarcoma. Win was treated at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea by a dedicated Sarcoma Team.

Despite the valiant efforts of the Team to find an effective treatment and Win’s indomitable spirit, her body finally succumbed to this aggressive tumour on Thursday 8 July 2021.

During 2021, Win was admitted to Frimley Park Hospital on 2 separate occasions, where she received outstanding treatment throughout her stays.

Following her last admission, Win was able to spend her last few weeks at home before she passed away peacefully.

This was made possible by a well-coordinated combination of district nurses and nurses from Thames Hospice, who were all very responsive to meeting Win’s needs.

Win was so appreciative of the care she received and was often moved to tears. We are all deeply indebted to the agencies involved for their dedication, professionalism and care.

It was Win’s wishes that people should donate to one of the 3 following charities, rather than send flowers.
